Big Dream: Born and raised in El Salvador, Alma’s experience as an immigrant in the US strongly influenced her goal to establish policies and laws that stop the marginalization of immigrants and their families around the world. Alma would like to be a force in ensuring the human rights of immigrant communities are valued and protected. She aims to establish community resource centers where immigrants can get language instruction, receive legal advice, and referrals to resources that will enable them to attain higher levels of education and achieve financial stability and social mobility.
