Karen Alvarez Julian

Bronx Community College, C’18, Biology

Big Dream: Karen Alvarez Julian was born in the United States; however, she was raised in the Dominican Republic (D.R.). Growing up in the D.R. helped shape Karen's interest in joining the medical field as a general surgeon. She believes that healthcare should be available to all people, regardless of their socio-economic status. Karen would like to travel the world as a leader in preventative healthcare. She currently studies biology at Bronx Community College where she is a member of Accelerated Study in Associate Programs (ASAP), Phi Theta Kappa (PTK) Honor Society, and an American Needs You (ANY) Fellow.
